Currently, CCILSA has more than 60 members - both from the Portuguese and South African business communities - from a wide range of sectors and business areas.
According to the CCILSA statutes, the categories of associate are three:
Honorary Associates
The General Assembly may confer this title on persons who have become deserving of such title, or for relevant services rendered to good economic relations between Luso-South Africa and the Chamber itself. These members are exempt from payment of a share and / or jewelry, and are entitled to participate in any General Assembly (even if they do not have the right to vote).
Charitable Members
This category may be conferred on all persons, whether natural or legal, associated or not associated with the Chamber, for having assigned legacies or donations considered important for the achievement of its objectives. This category of associate is exempt jewelry and / or shares, and both confers a seat in the General Assembly as voting rights.
Effective Associates
This category may be granted to any natural or legal person who directly or indirectly participates in the Luso-South African economic exchange or who, by virtue of his or her category, profession or functions, cooperates in or wishes to cooperate with it. Members who fall into this category will be required to pay jewel and quota as may be decided by the Executive Council for each annual financial year (for which there may be various jewels and quotas depending on the approved criteria).
